Beautiful hotel, great staff, clean

I would strongly discourage anyone from staying at this property. The room lacked even the most basic hotel amenities. There was no shampoo, and when I asked about it, I was told there was “no demand” for it. There was also no hair dryer because, according to the host, a previous guest had stolen it and it had never been replaced. There wasn’t even a cup or other basic in-room amenities. The most concerning part of the stay was the checkout experience. About 20 minutes before the stated checkout time, I received a message threatening that if I had not vacated the property by 11:00 a.m., the police would be called. Then, at exactly 11:00 a.m., the host entered my room without knocking, told me I needed to leave immediately, and again threatened to call the police. When Expedia contacted the host regarding my complaint, I was disappointed to learn that the explanation given was that they had entered the room to determine whether post-checkout cleaning was needed. That was not consistent with my experience. The room was entered while I was still occupying it, without knocking or obtaining permission, and the conversation centered on forcing me to leave immediately. I’ve stayed in many hotels and vacation rentals over the years, and I’ve never experienced such an unprofessional and intimidating checkout process. Basic amenities, respect for guest privacy, and professional communication should be the minimum standard. Unfortunately, this property failed on all three.

I'd stay here again - great location and unique layout. Rooms were clean and staff was very friendly from Day 1 of our arrival.
